on Walmart:
Oh, by the way...I heard just a few minutes's worth of Daniel Bernard Roumain's String Quartet No. 5: Rosa Parks on the local (shoutout to WUOL) classical radio station, and I was so blown away that I had to go searching for that music as soon as I got home. Found it, listened to the whole thing four times, and am now trying to find out where I can purchase it, because I want to give Daniel Bernard Roumain some of my money. This is some of the most amazing, vibrant, soulful, energetic, energizing, spiritual, stunning music I have ever heard. You can check it out by Googling the name of the piece, but after you've fallen in love, go buy you something. I don't buy from Amazon anymore, but if you do, they have some of DBR's other albums up. (Obviously you don't want to buy Wooden Beats & Balladry from them! Be careful, that Amazon arrow has a tendency to aim at your ass.) Walmart has three of his albums for very nice prices. Just sayin', sir.
I'm still looking for more, so holler at a Brother K if you spot a good deal.
And I REALLY want a vinyl copy of String Quartet No. 5: Rosa Parks, but I haven't been able to find that anywhere.
