If (like me) You need some lovin' and, on occasion, some Tender lovin' care, then take hold of my hand And I'll take you there.
I've made a new friend.
It started yesterday, when I happened upon a show entitled Nerd Alert on a channel I'd never heard of before: TYT. I ended up watching until the end of the show, because . . . well, you know what kind of eyes I got.
And so today after a bit of biking I settled in with a cup of coffee and started my MSNBC-CNN-FOX rotation, and it was such a shit churn that I couldn't hang with it and I started looking about and ended up on TYT again, this time for something called THE DAMAGE REPORT.
My first thought was, a bunch of young people who have lots of enthusiasm and not a lot of anything else. But then I remembered that being a judgmental asshole is never a good default setting, so I sat back and started listening.
And these guys were good.
There was a story about Trump "disinviting" (I hate the way that the dis- prefix has become so common, but I know, I know) the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House because of players's kneeling in protest during the playing of The National Anthem. And even if that was relevant to the issue, it didn't matter, because Trump was lying: no Eagle players had kneeled in protest during the football season.
Now I'd heard that before. But then TYT showed how FOX News had covered the story, and how FOX had inserted photos of various players kneeling to go along with the story. All of the pictures were actually pictures of players praying.
So there was that.
I just Googled around and saw that just a little while ago FOX responded to an Eagle player's complaint by apologizing for posting "unrelated footage" during the story.
So there's that.
I didn't see that story on MSNBC or CNN when I was over there, though. (Or on FOX, for that matter.) Maybe they'll get to it later on.
Meanwhile, I am adding TYT to the news rotation. Probably going to start there from here on in.
