15 Years

Today is the 15th Anniversary of my blog.

When I started it (Friday, November 10th, 2006), I was happily married, a public high school English teacher who loved his job, and I thought that the Bush Administration was the absolute worst thing that could possibly happen to The United States of America. Now I'm single (& dedicated to remaining so), retired, and still trying to believe that the apocalypse of the Trump presidency is really over.

I've often thought of ditching this blog. I've come to realize that that would hurt me more than continuing it sometimes does. I get no support from my family or my most-local friends, and that stings more than a bit--especially so since I've explicitly asked them to check in on it every once in awhile, so it certainly feels like a big Fuck You--but...

But nothing. What I meant to say was...

Happy Anniversary, Songs of Innocence & Experience!

And thanks to you brahs and tahs out there who do check in on me. It helps a lot.

Love,

Brother K.
