FOX & AOC

During my morning News Walkabout--MSNBC, CNN, FOX--I paused on the lattermost when I saw that...once again...they were talking about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. You know, for a politician who has only been in office for two and a half months, she sure does get a lot of attention from The Right. In fact, I am pretty sure that a day doesn't go by without somebody defaming her. That's a bit odd, isn't it? For some reason she has become the face of The Left, I suppose...even though she doesn't seem all that different from many of the other politicians that I admire. Clearly The Right sees her as a threat. A big enough threat that they feel the need to make up lies about her. I only watched this morning's FOX segment for a few minutes, but in that time I heard these comments from the hosts and their guest:

1. "People are leaving notes on the door because there's no one there."

2. She drove Amazon out of New York City.

3. "There's no evidence that AOC bribed her way into college...."

4. "She is not able to articulate basic economic concepts."

Yowza. I don't know a whole hell of a lot about Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, but I do know that

1. People are leaving notes on her door in order to express their appreciation and support of her.

2. She was, indeed, opposed to Amazon building a new headquarters in New York City, and I don't really understand why that was a good idea, but she certainly wasn't the only one...or even the decisive one...to turn them away. Um...she really isn't the final arbiter in that decision, guys.

3. Well, there's no evidence that any of you are necrophiliacs, cannibals, or pedophiles, either...but we don't really need to state that, do we?

4. I seem to recall her expressing basic economic concepts quite ably. Maybe you were busy watching SpongeBob SquarePants  1 at the time?

So...this is just my gentle and polite way of saying, "FOX & FRIENDS...you are full of shit. Fuck you very much. And please, please, PLEASE...have a nice day."
