It's more than a little bit confusing. I'm pretty focused on the idea that I want to vote for a woman if all other things end up being equal (because it's way past time)...but I don't know who that would be. And I really like Beto O'Rourke...but I don't know much about him other than that I like him.

But this morning on Morning Joe they were talking about this Pete Buttigieg fellow...a guy who I pretty much dismissed when I first heard about him, thinking, "Being mayor of South Bend for 7 years really doesn't qualify you to be president of the United States of America." And almost immediately it occurred to me that Donald Trump wasn't even the Mayor of Simpleton and he's been pretending to be president for over two years, so by comparison Buttigieg is over-qualified. ANYway, one of the pundits referred to Buttigieg as saying, "Politics is more like Homer's Odyssey than Finnegans Wake." Which is a pretty funny / clever / possibly insightful thing to say.

Not enough to get my vote in and of itself, of course, but it show did make me prick up my ears.
