And yet aNOTHer reason not to support Amazon.

 In case you're not keeping count...

(1) They don't give a shit about your account security. HERE

(2) They screw other online booksellers. HERE

(3) You can find better prices elsewhere. HERE

And today I ran up on 

(4) They don't give a shit about the health of their employees.

HERE's how that one goes.

I know a husband and wife who both work for Amazon. The wife woke up on her day off not feeling well, took a home Covid test which showed positive, and called her supervisor to tell her / him that she wouldn't be able to come to work the next day. The supervisor told her that home tests weren't acceptable, and that if she didn't come to work the next day, she would be fired. So she went in to work. Now both she and her husband have Covid...and you can bet that there are a number of other workers at that warehouse who will be taking home a little something extra to their families for Christmas.

You'd think that a company as big and rich as Amazon would have tests set up at the door for their workers...but not only don't they have that, they won't even let sick workers stay home.

For some reason, though, there's plenty of money to send rich people on $250,000 airplane rides that come very close to the top of the earth's atmosphere. I guess it's all a question of priorities, isn't it?
