Mike Johnson, Lethargic Bobblehead

I don't know much about Mr. Johnson (R, LA). But watching his movements behind President Biden as he delivered his State of the Union speech was pretty entertaining. He tried to communicate his regular disagreements with Biden by frowning slightly, pursing his mouth, and / or giving a slight longitudinal shake of his head. But there were several times when he would go lightly lattitudinal, indicating agreement, usually as if he were conceding a point to The Other Side. To me, it was an indication that while his shit content was very high, there were a few gaps where it hadn't been completely compressed yet. Not enough to give me any hope of sanity rising on the morning horizon...I've heard him snap out too many crazy soundbytes to have any hope of that...but maybe enough to think that he's not completely unhinged.

I could be wrong, of course. And often am.

At any rate, I enjoyed his lazy bobblehead moves as a firey Joe Biden led the blustering Republicans around by the nose hairs. And I have to say that while Joe Biden does seem physically fragile, anyone who thinks he is mentally incompetent is just not paying attention. Like many other non-antidemocrats, I'd like to see a younger human being running this year, but I've got zero reservations about pulling the lever for JOE in November.

You come, too?
