Not a dream! Not a hoax! Not an imaginary story!

Jack Kirby has been on my mind a lot lately. No surprise, since DC is really pumping up the volume in terms of giving recognition to  Kirby's massive contributions to their universe. And for some reason I've been particularly interested in one of his last Marvel books, The Eternals. I'd never read it, but it sounded pretty New Gods-y, and I'd read all of The Fourth World saga.

And when I saw that the entire run had been collected and was on sale for Amazon's Kindle platform for a mere $5 per volume (2 volumes), I was ready to buy. But for some reason I delayed.

The delay just ended. I don't know how long it will last, but as of this moment, those aforementioned volumes are on sale for $3 each. $3!!! The cost of a single DC comic book. And not quite enough to cover the cost of a single Marvel comic book.

And just to make the deal even sweeter, they had the entire Neil Gaiman / John Romita, Jr. series for $2.60.

What the fuck?

Better act now--no way that this is going to last long!

We aim to be a One Stop Blogging Shop here, Brother D. Looks like that sale was just a flash thing--it's back to $7.02 this morning. Still a hell of a deal, but . . . . Odd how on Comixology, which is Amazon, the price is $15. I don't like that kind of sneaky business.
