Attention Ben Cosgrove Fans!

My second Ben Cosgrove post still hasn't made it out of DRAFT...that happens a lot these days--for one thing because if I don't hit the Publish button right away I start thinking, "Well, who the fuck wants to hear what I have to say, anyway?" But I do love Ben Cosgrove's music, and a few people read my first post about him, so if there's a chance that I can get someone else to check him out, then....

Besides, this is a Time Sensitive Post.

See, today, Friday, May 1, 2020, is a day /bandcamp has elected to waive its fees for the artists who put their music up on their site, so that means a bigger slice of pie goes to the artists. So today is a great day to buy from them if you want to support said artists.

And more than this, Ben has put up a piece of music which had "limited release" previously...or, as he said on Twitter

Well, you definitely had me at "previously unreleased," but with the added "not sure how long I'll keep this up there," I was THERE.

You can listen to the whole thing for free at https://bencosgrove.bandcamp.com/album/weather-and-light-limited-release, so please at least do that. And even pleaser, put down $7 (or more, if you're so inclined) and give Mr. Cosgrove some support. These are trying times for musicians, you know. And this music is really good for your soul. I know that comparisons are by nature at least a bit invidious, but just on the chance that some bait will lure you over to /bandcamp, I am pretty sure that you will hear some hints of Philip Glass and Brian Eno in these pieces, and...well, who wouldn't be happy with that? But of course Ben brings his own thing to the keyboards, and it is that that I love most of all. And (to almost quote the illustrious Tom Selleck) "I think you will, too."

Do it do it do it do it do it no-ow-ow.
