You're either for women and believe that every accusation they make is true or you're a misogynist who doesn't support women in any way...and probably either a rapist or a spectator at a rape at some point in the not too distant past.
Welcome to The World According to Mika Brzezinski, who did her best to grind Joe Biden down on television this morning. The gist of her argument was that if Tara Reade said that Joe Biden pushed her up against a wall and inserted his fingers into her vagina, then it must be true...so why wouldn't he admit it?
Strange, because I have a distinct memory of a different Mika. In fact, let's see...yes, here. On October 1, 2018 I wrote, "This Kavanaugh Hearing has really got me upset. In fact, this morning I was watching Morning Joe, which I have done regularly for at least a couple of years now, and I was getting so angry at Joe and Mika that I think I may have to end my relationship with them. They both have been so condescending and callous toward Christine Blasey Ford that I am stunned by what they have to say."
Apparently Brett Kavanaugh's accuser wasn't worthy of the same treatment as Tara Read is getting from Mika.
And, you know...I will definitely cop to some prejudice on the part of Joe Biden. I want him to be the next president. I don't want to see him derailed and have to endure the agony of watching Trump get re-elected. Which doesn't mean I would excuse him if he were guilty of sexual assault, of course. Not at all. But it does mean that I wouldn't accuse him of it on national television until there were facts to back it up. Because...now buckle your seatbelts for this startling bit of revelation...sometimes people lie. And about half of people are women...so sometimes women lie.
I guess there are a few people who agree with me. Hope they're not all misogynists.
