"The main thing is to pay attention. Pay close attention to everything, notice what no one else notices. Then you'll know what no one else knows, and that's always useful."

This book choice is approved by Valerie, as is the sequel. :)

Just finished the sequel, and thought it wasn't as good as the first, but was good enough for me. Started the prequel yesterday, and it looks pretty happening so far.

So how are ya, Lord Mayor? Thanks for visiting and commenting!

I'm pretty good. I got into that great books college - St. John's - and pretty sure the only reason I did was because during the interview all I talked about was our class and Aristotle's perception of happiness. But alas! it is too expensive, and I am going to UK instead. :(

I am more than happy to visit/comment - the only reason I haven't before was because I lost the url! But then I found it again, so it's all good. :)

And how are you?

I'm good, also. Got a new girlfriend, school's going well, and the world seems gentler these days. Too bad about St. John's. I'd imagine it's pretty expensive, though, eh?

C'mon back now, ya hear?

I'm glad to hear you've been doing well.

Yeah, St. John's is only about $50,000 for tuition + books, food, housing. :/

I expect I shall return often, both to this website and Louisville - who knows, I might even schedule a classroom visit!

Let me know if you tackle any more books with a group - I bought the first bit of Remembrance of Things Past, but have yet to even crack the cover.

Ach du Liber, that's a lot of geld. Yes, do visit--here, Louisville, classroom. I will let you know if I decide to dive into the group read again. Proust does take some patience, but it's worth it. If you'd like to tune in, my The Guermantes Way blog is me reading book three--and I think I'll have the whole thing finished in another month if I can keep my pace! (You don't need to know anything about the first two books to enjoy it, either . . . and nobody else is reading it, so I could use some good feedback! Plus you get to see my hair variations, which are often humorous. (Helmet hair, for instance.)

Oh sorry, Brother K, about my last post but I'm glad you found a new person.

And you always seem to find the bets quotes, thanks for the lesson.
