Just read a piece on msn.com in which various people reviled Matt Damon for his comments about sexual predation and misconduct, his chiefist sin seemingly embodied in this statement:
“I do believe that there’s a spectrum of behavior, and we’re going to have to figure — you know, there’s a difference between, you know, patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation, right? Both of those behaviors need to be confronted and eradicated without question, but they shouldn’t be conflated, right?”
And I just.
Don't.
Get.
It.
What is wrong with what he said here?
I think we are in the midst of such a gigantic social whirlpool that the ability to reason has been lost.
And most people are so afraid of being seen on the wrong side of this that they can't bear to point this out.
Which is sad.
So thank you, Matt Damon, for not being a pussy.
(We can still say that, right?)
