Here We Go Again

Okay, so how weird is this.

Last night, after the football game, I was flipping through the channels, looking for something that went well with a triple Vermonter's worth of Jim Beam Vanilla when I happened upon Tomorrowland.

I hadn't seen this movie when it came out--Jacqueline and Joe went to see it with Jo Ann, and I wasn't feeling the need to see it by myself, so it passed me by.

But I figured that I would check it out for a minute or two, maybe get to a commercial break if I could take it, and then I'd see what was happening elsewhere. But I ended up getting interested in the story, and since I'd missed the first 35 minutes and since I was really tired and ready to go to bed and didn't want to stay up any longer, even though I wanted to see what happened after the Eiffel Tower Rocketship Launch, I found out when it was showing again and set the dvr. (See Illustration A below.)

Fast forward to today.

I was out all morning, and when I got home there was a Christmas package from my sister Ginny sitting on my porch. I got it inside and opened it up and there was a present for me. I unwrapped it and saw this:

Cue "The Twilight Zone Theme Song."

And welcome to The Matrix, man.
