Speaking of Henry Thomas Buckle's A History of Civilization in England....

WHERE are my manners? If you'd like to come along for the Henry Thomas Buckle ride, it's surprisingly easy to get hold of the three volumes of A History of Civilization in England

There are many versions available from the usual suspects on the used book circuit (AbeBooks, Alibris, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Better World Books)...my favorite of which is a lovely five volume hardback set dating from 1865, which AbeBooks sells for a mere $146.41 + $8.99 shipping...or if you want to go the e-route, Amazon has all three volumes for $1.99 here https://www.amazon.com/History-Civilization-England-Thomas-Buckle-ebook/dp/B00JETDA9Q/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1549997129&sr=1-1&keywords=A+History+of+Civilization+in+England

...or, if you want to go for a buck more, you can get the three separate volumes in ILLUSTRATED format here

here

and here

Personally, I would ALWAYS go for an illustrated version of ANYthing.

And remember: You can win, Winsocki, if you Buckle down!
