Is it just me?

I'm beginning to see sexual harassment EVERYwhere. I mean that seriously.

Like, I was watching Star Wars: A New Hope the other day and there were several spots wherein I thought, "Han is sexually molesting Leia there." Not kidding. And this morning I was listening to a Luke Bryan album and I thought, "That is not flirting, it's sexual molestation."

The lines are being redrawn. And I'm definitely down with that. I've long been uncomfortable with & discomfitted by the way that men talk to and about women. It's the main reason I tend to have female rather than male friends. And so far as my personal conduct, I've never been one to press my case anyway--being of a passive nature when it comes to these matters. I am not a Mighty Hunter kind of guy.

But it does make me wonder. Do people realize that EVERYTHING is going to have to change? Like Carrie Underwood singing the Monday Night Football song? And cheerleaders? And the way cars and aspirin are sold? And . . . everything.

I mean, if it doesn't, that'd be totally fucked up and cognitively dissonant. Not to mention hypocritical.

So let's go.

Wow. I've seen most of that stuff, but it really hits you hard when it's put together like this. I wonder if he's ashamed of doing that stuff now. I sure would be.
