Injustice 2-s Day

Injustice #8 didn't come out Tuesday. Memorial Day delay. Even though the information stamp on Comixology said it wouldn't come out until May 31st, I kept checking back. Just in case. I was Jones-ing, man.

And shortly after I woke up this morning (at 4 A.M.), I checked again. And continued to check. Thinking I'd have to wait until 9-ish. But viola, there it was. Just finished reading it. And it was a change of pace kind of thing. Actually light-hearted. But really good. Poignant. Funny. Actually funny. If they could make a movie based on this series that actually stayed true to the comic book script, it would make a billion dollars. But I don't think Warner brothers has the balls for that kind of thing. It's okay to have Batman fight Superman because of a stupid misunderstanding, but to have Superman actually go rogue . . . and not because Starro shoved a tentacle up his ass or some such nonsense, but because a tragedy had fractured his mind . . . no. Too close to the bones of reality there.

But at least we have Tom Taylor's comic book. For now.
