Ye will find no SPOILERS here.
I'm not that kind of guy.
I have loved The Walking Dead television show since I saw the first episode. Until the premiere episode of Season 7, after which I swore I would never watch the show again. That lasted two weeks, though, and by the end of the season I felt reconnected with the characters. I loved it again.
But you know . . . even at its best, the show
doesn't even come close to delivering the emotional wallop . . . or even the sheer gasp jaw drop thrills . . . of the comic book.
Case in point: the issue which came out this week, #167.
It was so real . . . so intense . . . and so devastating . . . .
It was a thing of beauty.
And in a day when a regular comic book, which runs 20 pages and costs $3.99, in this issue Image gives you
44 pages of story and a very touching letter from writer / creator Robert Kirkman for $2.99.
Image is definitely my favorite comic book company these days. And The Walking Dead is their best and most impressive book.
