It was lunchtime, and I was hungry.



Very hungry. I Just Did a Five Mile Walk and 🔥ed  500 Calories hungry. And I thought, "I'll have a pack of those loverly Kroger Cheese on Cheese crackers and a granola bar. And then I shall be happy. And less 1 hungry."

But I stopped to do the math.

Cheese on Cheese crackers: 200c, >1g fiber, 3g protein
Granola Bar 170c, 1g fiber, 3g protein

GRAND TOTAL: 370 calories,  >2g fiber, 6g protein

VS.

Progresso Vegetable Soup 160c, 3g fiber, 3g protein
81g spinach 30c, 1g fiber, 2g protein
Morningstar Crumbles 70c, 3g fiber, 9g protein

GRAND TOTAL: 260 calories, 7g fiber, 14 protein

Well, that's pretty stark, ennit? And on top of that, we're talking about the difference between a big bowl of soup (more than 2 cups of matter) versus a pack of crackers and a little granola bar, which I guarandamntee you is far less filling than ze soup.

Which doesn't mean that I don't miss my little crackers and granola bar . . . especially the granola bar. And it doesn't necessarily mean that I won't be having one later on today. But for now, I chose the soup. And that was a good choice.

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time making the good choices most of the time. So it's time to celebrate. 

Celebrate.
