I was about to go to sleep last night, but I decided to give my Kindle a quick check first. The usual suspects: Hotmail, Facebook, The Blog Stats page. And then, even though it was just a few ticks before 11:00, which is a smidge past my bedtime, I decided to have a look at Comixology to see if they'd listed This Week's New Comics yet . . . even though I knew that they never put them up until noonish on Wednesday.
And under the titles released April 18, 2017, was Injustice 2 #2.
I didn't even have to think about it. Hit the buy button. 99¢ later . . . I started reading it. And, alas, just a few minutes later I finished reading it. It's only 50 panels long. Given an average of 5 to 6 panels per page in a print comic book, that'd make it a mere 8 to 10 pages long. And when I finished, I mos def wanted more. But there's no more until next Tuesday night, right? So I went back to the first panel and read it again.
It had some ha ha. It had some clever stuff. It had attitude. The art was quite good . . . much better than the cover would lead you to believe, actually.
Definitely worth my 99¢.
This is, once again, a comic book I not only look forward to reading, but actually am anxious to read. I'm sorry to say that that really doesn't happen all that much anymore. I mean, if this were a print comic book, I'd be sitting in my car in he Great Escape's parking lot reading it before I even started the engine to go home. Yeah. Like that.
Needles to say, Injustice 2 just made it onto my (not very long) buy list.
Come on, Tuesday.
You come too?
