"Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story of that Public Library, skilled in all ways of lending, the Louisville Free, harried by me for years on end!"
I kind of strayed from my planned James Tiptree, Jr., Gorge Fest. It was partly Ken Follett's fault, as I got caught up in World Without End . . . but then it was Greg Isle's fault, as I got caught up in this Penn Cage thing . . . which, in turn, got me caught up in this The Footprints of God thing . . . but when I checked my library Holds this morning and saw
--two hard-to-find-and-only-then-if-you-pay-a-lot-of-money-for-them book--well. I just had to stop and take a breath. I am mos def getting back on that Tiptree train.
Right after I finish The Footprints of God.
But hey, isn't the LFPL just lovely? That interlibrary loan thing is quite beautiful. I never even knew that it existed before I started dating a librarian. So I guess something good came of that fiasco.
